Yamaha FZ-16

Well, yamaha after a long time has finally come back strongly with this contender. Its a stunning looking bike, All naked and broad tyres-totally sexy......

Its a 153cc bike and churns out 14bhp power, which is pretty good. The bike doesn't feel as powerful as you would expect especially from its looks, but the main feature which I would like to mention is the handling and balance. It is exceptional, unlike any bike in its segment even 1 step further-its next to Yamaha R15 in handling dept. The mileage is from 40-45 km/lt which is less than its other contemporaries.
Despite all the good features one will have to churn out 73k Rs for this beauty while considering the fact that one can get Bajaj Pulsar 220cc at 7-9k more. So anyone, who is just looking for pure styling, Yamaha engine and great handling can go for this one, else I would recommend for Bajaj Pulsar 220cc.

Verdict: 7/10
Positives: Styling, Handling, Sitting Posture
Negatives: Pricey, Taller people may dislike it.

Bajaj Pulsar 200cc

Bajaj Pulsar 200cc is a mean beast waiting to be unleashed at every gear you step down. The bike is awesome when it comes to power riding and this means there is no rest at any point of time. The bike has great styling with naked looks and split seat. The bike easily crosses 100kmph mark in less than 10 secs and still feels unshaken uptill 116kmph. The sitting posture is very athletic and requires some serious muscle power especially when one requires to go out for long rides. The fuel economy is on expected lines and consumes a litre of gas for 40 kms which is not too bad. The ride is good on the bike but the handling requires some good riding skills to maneuver.

Verdict: 8/10
Positives: Good looks, Great engine, Feels charged up, Feels really good to drive.
Negatives: Sitting posture uncomfortable for long rides, spare parts expensive.

Review of Bajaj Caliber 115

Bajaj kawasaki caliber is a pretty old bike to review but still this is for guys who are thinking to buy a used bike. One can find a 2005 model in good condition at around a decent price of 20-25k. Its a 115 cc bike with 9.5bhp which is very good. The bike is fairly long and has a high riding position which means better its good for taller people. The bike is a performance oriented bike in its segment and has a great pick-up(it is better than the bajaj pular 150cc). It can go from 0-60 kmph in a much quicker time than most other bikes in its segment. It can go upto a maximum speed of around 97-98 kmph in single rider but the performance reduces drastically with another one sitting behind. The fuel economy varies as per the riding style: for a person who drives slowly and carefully(avg.speed of 30-40kmph) the mileage is around 65-70 km/lt and if one stretches the engine(avg.speed 50-60kmph) the fuel economy drastically reduces to around 45-50 km/lt. Another bad side is though the grer ratio is such that the bike requires too much of a gear changing in city traffic.

Overall verdict: 7/10. Good bike to buy as a second-hand.
Positives:-Performance oriented-great pickup.
Negatives:-Too much gear changing.
